Fashion: Indefinite Transit Outfit of the Day, Inspired by Bryant Park.
Today I had “business” lunch with my good friend Zachariah Bayber Stevens at Bryant Park. Apart from working on Indefinite Transit’s business plan, we enjoyed some salads from Hale and Hardy Soups and watched the ice skaters on the seasonal ice ring. When they start popping up all over town, you know the Holidays are approaching.
My outfit today was inspired by the ice ring, the newly installed Christmas decorations, and the autumnal overcast day.
We’ll start from the top down: I am wearing a black Vintage Julio over-sized blazer that I found in my mother’s closet; a black long-sleeve leotard from Theory; a red bandage mini-skirt from H&M; a Brown leather belt with gold hardware from L.A. Cano, (a Colombian company which reproduces pre-Colombian pieces; black polka-dot tights from Ann Taylor (on sale at Filene’s Basement); Knee-high black cotton socks (also Filene’s Basement); Brown boots from Salvatore Ferragamo (you kind of can’t see them too well in the picture); watch: Cartier Tank Française, medium model; Rings – gold and turquoise; aqua marine, and garnet – from my grandmother. Earrings are gold with Aventurine stones from a little shop by the beach in Sayulita, Mexico. Bracelets: leather band; Ruby and gold.
I am going to start posting more of my, and other people’s Indefinite Transit outfits as the days go on, seeing as we had such a great response on our last fashion post.
Let me know what you guys think – what you like; what you would have done differently. I look forward to your impute! And – be gentle 😉
