Indefinite Transit: NYC Edition

Now don’t get me wrong – I LOVE WINTER FASHION. All year long, I look forward to creating different outfits by playing around with layering, boots, scarves, cashmere, fur… I really do love it.

BUT, when you wake up in the morning and it’s 26 degrees, – with a possible high of a whopping 34 degrees – a girl regresses and starts dreaming about the summer and early fall days when she could still wear shorts. (Let’s be frank… I still wear shorts with tights even though I know I will freeze, but I’m trying to make a point.)

So, I dug up this photo I took, of this beautiful woman outside of Cafe Pick Me Up, on E. 9th St. and Ave. A in the East Village, this past summer. I was immediately drawn to her very Indefinite Transit outfit, the fact she rode a bike (like me), and the quiet confidence she exuded.

I love how she breaks up her black jumper with the washed denim jacket and brown sandals. I love mixing brown with black. Plus, the jacket and her turquoise earrings matched her eyes, which were this beautiful aqua-green tint. Stunning, tall, beautiful woman. I wish I had gotten her name so I could send her this photo.
