“The Blind Barber” – Indefinite Transit, Episode 4 from Indefinite Transit on Vimeo.
The Blind Barber is an East Village local that follows the mullet strategy: business in the front, and party in the back. Owners Jeff Laub, Josh Boyd, and Adam Kirsch bring to the neighborhood a fully operating, old-fashioned Barber Shop with a lounge that serves mixologist-prepared cocktails, along side great music, in the back. Pass through the barber shop’s sliding door and you will enter a whole new world. Gogy, the head barber is our “neighborhood insider” and will introduce us to this world.
The Blind Barber is located at 339 E10th Street and Avenue B. The barber shop is open Monday-Saturday: Noon-9PM; Sundays: Noon-6pm. Drinks are served all week, except Sundays, 6PM and well into the night.
